theBLUEBIRD I just wanted to let everybody know, I'm back testing Pal Wii games after some troublesome time with my console.. Everything is back to normal now, so I'll continue testing games with the new WiiGator BUL, cIOS36 rev6.

unknown: what about cross over games i.e: ntsc games that work on pal wii or pal games that work on ntsc?
Noobwarrior7: I think that is a great idea, I sure as heck wouldn't want to sort it, but it couldnt be too much trouble...why don't you get it goin?!
tnx: how would you go about disabeling the wiifree ? cut the wires? (if so which one) and also could it be possible to make a switch for it?
Noobwarrior7: switch would be the best solution....though beyond my expertise. it has been done, google wii modchip dongle.
tnx: Thanks for the reply I will google and apply what i find, then post if it works !! hopefully it does and I can test some games .. quick question too though.. i have 3.2 .. does wii fiit (original) require firmware higher than that? if so will the wii modchip dongle work for it too? or anyone tried to load the wiifit with the loader?
Noobwarrior7: no game currently requires 3.3, and since it only updates a couple IOS, few probably ever will, it was mainly to patch homebrew out of system menu
the funniest part about the vandal is they accidently put: "Fucki this wiki" at one point, then corrected it....they couldn't even get a three word insult right. WOW. and they only vandalized my name...hmm...wonder who it could be....lol....what a loser.
tnx : ok I cut the pin(1) wire, and added a a longer wire to come outside for the switch, done, tested the same game mari kart with the loader , works, didnt get into the game cause didnt have much time but it loaded all the way through this time with the switch off, without the loader wiifree just went black screen on mario kart didnt even load. and yes wii fit works without the chip on too !! for some info : NTSC Wii , with wiifree w/ switch, Loaded Mario Kart burned on Maxell or Memorex (i dont remember which one i just know it started with an M and had purple and white labeling on the spindle (not the dvds). DVD+R at 2.4X , with loader works so far. will test out games any in particular?
Noobwarrior7: someone should test all iterations of SSB: Brawl to see which "version" works the best, which ones don't, compare, etc. I'm going to guess that some "Fixed DVD5" version floating around will work if anything does. Probably needs PAL patching too, obviously. Guitar Hero 3 online functions need thoroughly tested too.
Noobwarrior7: so....the main page was completely rolled back, and the ip block requests were removed....did we not like the new main page layout? also...is anyone gonna block those ips, or is vandalizing the wiki not something we're gonna discourage? -nw7

Noobwarrior7: I'm just concerned that main page (one of the few pages people don't alter a lot) lock has come before a somewhat-needed tutorial lock (or at least require registration), and 2 reasonable IP block requests. just my 2 cents. also if anyone wants to put instructions for how to booktype with different programs, there is a place in tutorial where nero 8 is already there, so feel free since its still open edit.
PS: I think overall, the wiki looks really nice. I just added some stuff to the "Help" page in case anyone finds their way there instead of Main Page. -nw7

i_speel_good: Good, but I believe that what's written on the Portal fits better on the Wii:About page. The community portal is a community portal... What's written there is more of a description of this site's purpose.

Pal iso's on ntsu wii
I have been trying meny diffrent games and meny diffrent patchers but i cant get any pal iso's to work on my 3.3u wii.Every ntsc game i have tryed works perfect.My wii is not modded, I just use homebrew channel and i have the backup loader channel too.
i_speel_good: You need to wiifrii the ISO before patching it with the backup-creator and burning it to a DVD.
I have tryed that to.pal to ntsc,ntsc to pal,with ntsc force on and off but nothing.It will work but no video,but with force ntsc they all go to green screen.What setings in wiifrii and the loader do you use?
i_speel_good: Never used wiifrii. It seems like the games you're trying are incompatible with the loader(s).
theBLUEBIRD: I'm using PAL Wii 3.3e, and I just tested "Heavenly Guardian NTSC" patched to PAL with WiiFrii and then I used the Backup Loader tool. It worked perfect for me..! I have no idea what your problem could be.. Perhaps you are not using WiiFrii correct? That's the only way you could have this problem that you are having..
Boom Blox doesn't work
dragonficht: I don't know why but at my home boom blox doesn't work. First I open the dvd. After that the dvd loads with the wininkoko iso loader. You see spielberg EA boomblox and after that I press A. It loads and then the screen turns black. Can someone please help me what i can do aout it because the compatibility list says it must work. I have a PAL wii and boomblox PAL. I burned it with imgburn with 2,4 speed on a TDK DVD-R.

I took the liberty of updating the PAL compatability list with information about the new version of WiiGators BUL. I hope somebody will update the NTSC list with the same information. And how about cleaning it up a little..?
Dude, I gotta tell you, the NTSC list is f**king ugly with the dark green. It doesn't look good at all. If it's fixed it'll be a lot better. I speel good 09:11, 28 October 2008 (CET)

EDIT: So I removed it.. xD But how about the Gamma version..? Should we exchange it with WiiGator BUL 0.1..?
my feelings are that since BUL3g is really an improvement on BUL3b, we should remove 3b, as far as I can tell, nothing works on 3b that doesn't work on 3g, and of course most things are better. SoftChip doesn't need to be inlcuded at all until a release (and hopefully a specific IOS release), if then. -nw7
PS: if anyone would be willing to (sticking to the skeleton already set out for them) cut/edit the tutorial to address only 3gamma, and also link to the needed files. THANKS in advance, volunteer! -nw7
also, I think that "backup-loader" (waninkoko's leaked project) can be removed from the (at LEAST NTSC) list(s), because it doesn't even work with NTSC games without way more hassle than it is worth, considering gamma and other alternatives are now sprouting up. If you really want to keep it, that's fine, but I thought backup-launcher 0.1 had pretty much the same compat with better NTSC support, so yall work it out. -nw7
